I have a quick question, I am kinda new to some aspects of BES Administration, but where I work, we have two networks. Well, about 20 people or so will be moving to the new network and are concerned whether they will be able to get the email they currently have in their inbox on their BB once they move over.

Will having them move their current mail to a PST, then have them move that mail to their new inbox on the other network work? Will they be able to receive these messages on their BB?

What mail server are you running? The BES doesn't store email at all, it's just a redirector that works in conjunction with a mail server.

The mail server admin should move the mail over to the new server as he/she creates each account unless this is a night or weekend project then it should all be done at that time.

Are you moving users from one mail server to another? Moving from one BES to another?

The user accounts will be moved from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007 on the new network. The BES is already setup and working with Exchange 2007.

I work at the US Air Force Academy and we just stood up a .edu network. These people will be moving from the .mil network to the .edu and we cannot just transfer the mail. This is why we are asking them to copy everything to a pst file.

The users will be moving to a different version of Exchange on a different network and the BB accounts will be on a different BES.
