This may not be in the right place. If not Ö sorry!
I use an e-mail service called Mailshell (http://www.mailshell.com/mail/
) to control spam. Itís not cheap, but itís not that expensive, either. I get my own domain name, letís say itís xxxx.yyy. I can create an unlimited number of e-mail accounts of the form
. So, if Iím asked for an e-mail address when Iím ordering something online from companya, I give them
. If I start getting spam sent to that e-mail address, I know where it originated and I can just cancel that e-mail address.
Why am I telling you this?
Well Ö all those e-mail addresses end up in one POP3 e-mail account that is ďpulledĒ to my BB via BWC. When I respond from the BB to one of those e-mails, it appears to come from whatever e-mail address was used by the original sender. That is, in the above example, my response from the BB would seem to come from
. I donít if thatís because of BWC or Mailshell, but thatís the way it works for me on a BB7290 and OS 4.0. I also have BES for my work e-mails.
P.S. I have no financial interest in Mailshell, except as a satisfied customer.
