Default Connection speed using blackberry as modem

Please Login to Remove!

Can anyone tell me what the maximum connection speed is using a 7100t as a modem for your laptop?

I set up my blackberry to work as a modem. My connection speed is 115k.

Is this about right? Is there any way to increase this?

Default

The 115k is only the speed between the BlackBerry and the 7100t itself.

The real speed is more like about 40-50 kilobits in good reception areas. So even if you could speed up the connection between the computer and the BlackBerry, it won't speed up the connection between the BlackBerry and the wireless network.
