Default 7520 use w/outlook but no phone/email activation at this time

This will sound very strange but please bear with me. I bought a 7520 thru work and at the moment chose NOT to activate phone or email. My main purpose at the moment is using the BB as a pda. I will be using the phone soon just not at the moment. The question: how can I download my outlook info - contacts/address book etc from my pc to the BB. I had loaded the desktop software but when I click on Intellisync the configure PIM button is grayed out. It seems that without activating phone or email I also don't have the capability to sync from pc to BB. This may be just the way it is until I set up phone or email but if someone can help me, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

Have you read the manual that came with the BB?

1. Launch the desktop manager
2. Under options choose connection and make sure the BB PIN is recognized
3. Double click Intellisync
4. Click the configure PIM button
5. Choose your applicable app for contacts, calendar etc. eg MS Outlook
6. Sync.

Default 7520 no activation - how to use outlook

Yes I've read the manual and gone online. I loaded the software and it seems to recognize the PIN at least when I open the software a PIN is automatically inserted. When I click on intellisync my configure PIM button is grayed out however. I tried it again before I sent reply...think Ihave a bad usb connector I plugged it into another one and it recognized everything this time and went through the configure pim option.

Thanks
