I know this thread exists but I couldn't find it...just read it the other day.

How can I make email from an Outlook account not appear as read when it's pushed to my 7290 on Cingular, whether or not I've opened the email.

Sounds like you might be use the "POP3" protocol for receiving messages instead of using a BES?? I've seen that type of service do that, but using a BES should not. How did you set up email? Was it through the "email setup" icon or did you install the software on your PC and attach to your corporate email system that way?

I just got a BB7250 with service from Verizon. I'm set up to use the internet mail redirector, with BlackBerry pulling email directly from my Exchange 2000 server using POP3.

The problem is that all the messages in Outlook are being marked as Read and it's really driving me crazy.

Someone on another thread said there might be an Exchange 2000 fix from Microsoft, but I couldn't find anything on microsoft.com. I've even considered creating a second email account and forwarding a copy all my email to it, but I can see that being a real pain to maintain when we start getting more of these.

Any ideas?
