Default BWC and BES on the same blackberry?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys,

I currently have a 7250 with Verizon that I use for my own personal purposes.. I'll soon be starting with a company that has a BES server with Lotus Notes that I'd want to use..

my question is: can I use both my own personal email and the companys email at the same time? meaning, if I get email through BWC, when I reply, will it be my BWC reply-to email address, and if I get email from BES, when I reply, will it be from my company email address? or do I only get to have one reply to address when I respond from my blackberry?

also, would I lose any functionality that I currently have like verichat or the internet browser? some of the stuff I have on my blackberry is personal, and I'd like to keep it that way - what sort of things can my company see on my blackberry if I link it up to their server?

I tried searching for these answers, but couldn't find any.. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!!

You can use the BES and BWC at the same time on the BlackBerry.

You can sync against Notes and Outlook from the desktop.

The BES may be allowing wireless synchronization though, so its likely you'll never have to sync against Notes with the cable and software.

I can't answer the verichat stuff, but I can answer the bes & bwc.
You can have bwc mail and bes mail on the same handheld if the bes admin permits it. It will allow you to compose a mail from either account, recieve mail from both accounts, utilize folders to have two inboxes and read accounts seperatly.
Check with your admin to see what their policy is on this. Is it your device or a company device?
We have two rules one for company devices and one for individual owned and payed for devices...least right now...

Under the circumstances that are described, will his personal BWC emails still be private from the company BES administrators?

Sure, the emails never go through the Corporate network or infrastructure. They're going directly to the BlackBerry over the BlackBerry data network.
