Question about unlocked blackberry
 

Hello,
I am new to this forum and I am not a Blackberry owner... YET.
However, I am planning to buy one soon but I have a question first. I've browsed through several threads but I haven't found an answer yet.

I am planning to buy a Blackberry (possibly a Curve 8300, not sure yet) but in Hungary there are 3 networks: T-mobile, Vodafone, Pannon.
I use Pannon and it's the only network out of the 3 that has no Blackberry.

My question is, if I buy an unlocked Blackberry (on Ebay), how will I be able to use all its features, like sms, e-mail and internet? I really don't want to switch networks but I want to use the e-mail and internet functions.

I hope I didn't ask a too stupid question and you can help me. :razz:

I don't believe you will be able to do the push e-mail, as a BlackBerry data plan is required for that. If they have configurable APN settings for data use then you may be able to use the Internet. I believe the SMS will work just fine.

Be very careful buying on ebay, especially if you don't know much about BB's. it isn't as easy as buying a regular cell phone. Please read the FAQ before you purchase, especially this one: Buying a BlackBerry off eBay - BlackBerryFAQ.
