Default Why Does it stop flashing?

Please Login to Remove!

Just a question about the LED light on my Telus/Mike 7520. I have it set to flah the LED when messages are waiting, it only flashes for a short time then stops. I just wondered why this is, my old 7510 would remain flashing until you actually read the messages. Just wondered if anyone else had this issues.

The RED led indicates that you have a *NEW* unread message. After short while... it isn't NEW anymore.... hence it stops flashing.

I just wondered why my 7510 would flash until I read the emails, if it was an hour or 12 hours it would continue to flash until you read the email.

And it's set to Flash, but why does it stop? obviously it's timed but there is no option to set that. I just wondered why my 7510 would stay flashing for hours or days until you read the emails, the 7520 jsut stops out of the blue.....

I answered this already.

But since you don't believe me... here's RIMs response:

----- Thank you for contacting BlackBerry Technical Support. As outlined in article KB-03897, the green LED represents that the BlackBerry Handheld 7100 is in an area of wireless coverage.

The red LED new message indicator light will blink between 15-30 minutes, depending on which BlackBerry Handheld you are using and which Handheld software is installed. In this situation, it would seem that the 15-30 minutes would have passed since the new messages arrived, which would be why the red LED is no longer flashing. The green LED will flash while you are in network coverage.

I trust that this information will be of use to you, and thank you again for contacting us. -----

Thank you very much for the answer, I called Telus and got some really crazy answers. I emailed RIM but never received a response so thanks for your help.
