I'm getting a new BB 8130 Pearl and was wondering how to switch to the new BB. Should I use the "switch device wizard" in the desktop manager? I have version 4.2.2.14 of the desktop manager. I'm not sure what OS version the Pearl will have.

hey... quick question. so does the wizard do EVERYTHING but 3rd party apps? so, you'll basically do the wizard, and the new BB will be identical to your previous one? messages, settings, profiles, autotext, internet bookmarks, messenger buddies, address book, etc?

do you have to worry about your SD card or can you just swap the card into the new BB?

I don't know about the cards since I have Sprint.
The switch device wizard gives you a choice if you want to do just your data or data and third party apps. I wouldn't do the third party apps if you are switching to a different BB. Might not be compatible and could cause problems.

as for the media card, just pop it in your new bb
