Hi All,
I'm new to the world of Blackberry, so please bear with me. I came over from a Treo 750 running WM6, mainly for the email support that BB has. However, I'm running into a problem and need a little guidance.
I have Outlook 2007 with multiple POP3 email accounts setup. I've installed BB Desktop 4.3, and have attempted to configure the redirector to handle my email. I have a reliable spam filter configured in Outlook that I've trained for the last year, and it gets 95% of all spam coming into my email accounts. I have individual folders created for each account, and Outlook rules setup accordingly.
The problem is that I want to push my email from Outlook to my BB, but only messages that have already been filtered by my spam filter. I've looked in the BB Redirector configuration, and found where I can select different folders, but can't seem to be able to select any. It tells me to select the checkbox next to the folder, but there's no checkboxes anywhere. Just a list of the folders. One thing that I think might be the problem is that I have a system of subfolders created that the messages are placed into. I can't see those subfolders in the list, but I can see the parent folder. Is this my problem, or is there another way that I can configure the Redirector to send the messages? The folder structure is as follows:
Inbox
Parent Folder 1
Subfolder 1 <---I want messages in this one
Subfolder 2 <---I want messages in this one
Parent Folder 2
Subfolder 1 <---I want messages in this one
Subfolder 2 <---I want messages in this one
I'm a software developer by trade, and plan on learning how to start writing apps for the BB. I'm hoping that my first project isn't one that takes care of my problem here. Any help would be appreciated. I'm still trying to get used to using my BB, but so far I do like it over my Treo.
Thanks in advance,
-Chris
