Default GPS and the blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

Was wondering if the GPS on the blackberry 8310 is free or do i have to pay a monthly fee?

its free with google maps or blackberry maps. other applications (telenav) require a monthly fee

to get the maps to work, yes. gps is a seperate service however and the transmitter will work without the internet. You will not be able to get any sort of graphical interpretation though.

i dont want to have to pay for GPS so should i just get the 8320 it has wifi

it depends how will you use it?
GPS itself is free, you just need to have an internet plan to see the maps. if you want turn by turn voice directions you need to pay for GPS

there is a comparison of 8310, 8320, and 8820. Keep in mind the 8320 is Tmobile at this time.
