Default Send single Outlook item to BB?

Please Login to Remove!

I'm a BB newbie, so I apologize if this topic has been covered. I did a search, but I didn't find an answer to my question.

For all of you Outlook/BB users, is there an easy way to send a single Outlook item (calendar entry, task, contact) to my BB without doing a full sync? I've tried forwarding items to my BB, but all I get is an e-mail with a "winmail.dat" attachment.

I've found that if I use the Outlook "invite" feature for a calendar entry, I can receive those just fine on the BB.

Thanks!

You can use the calendar to invite and receive nicely on the BB.

You can't send Tasks, Memos, Contacts, etc., via email attachments.

Well that kind of stinks. I'm very surprised the BB can't handle iCal or vCal attachments.

I just found a program called vCardMaster that supposedly enables the BB to receive vCard and iCal files. Has anyone tried it?

I found a 20% coupon for mobilesoftmarket, so I went ahead and purchased VcardMaster and downloaded and installed it via DM...short and sweet, it does not run on my Pearl.

I've edited permissions to give it global "Allow" on everything, restarted my Pearl, and get the same error message every time I try to use any of the "Insert" commands that were added to the Mail menu:

I figured this was a permissions issue for sure, but as noted, all permissions are set to Allow.

Any ideas, before I get back to the company and make them refund my $$?

Thanks.
