Default How to do Conference Calls with Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone,

I am just wondering how I can put 2 incoming calls together for a conference call... on windows mobile it was extremely easy, once u have accepted both incoming calls, you simply click conference and it adds everyone together....

If that does not work, do I have to call the 3rd person myself? I tried pressing menu > conference (while in an existing call), then it tells me to enter a number, I do that, but it just calls the other person...

Perhaps my carrier (Telus) has to enable conference calling or am I just not doing it right? Thanks.

just hit the menu key and join for 2 calls that are already there.

call the first number > menu > new call
dial second number > menu > join

thx for your reply.

I don't have "Join calls" or anything like that under menu.. i just have "conference call" and "flash" on my pearl.. if i press flash it just switches between the two lines, if i press conference call all it does is let me call someone else but there doesn't appear to be a way to get everyone together? I can't believe this, on a blackberry?????!! there must be a way.. (i'm using my new pearl 8130 i got a day or two ago - this was so much easier on windows mobile) thanks.

On the 8130 you do the following:

1. Make a call
2. After the first person answers, press the BB button and select Conference Call - your address book will open
3. Select the second person in your address book to call, and start that call (I think it's press the trackball)
4. When the second person answers, press the BB button and select Flash

At that point all three of you will be joined...just did this, it worked fine for me.

Thanks. It worked! I just wished the screen says "Conference" or something to indicate everyone is on the line, its a bit confusing and not as easy to switch to private with the caller you want....
