I have a user that is using the 8800 and he continues to have issues with sending emails from his device. We have deleted the Service book Desktop[CMIME], and resent service books and have wiped his device. Everytime we do one of these things it works for about a week and then stops again. His device is running the 4.2.1.72 version so i wouldn't think that was an issue. Anything you can think of that we can try to continue to fix it?

If that user simply pulls his battery while powered on, replace and reboots, does the problem resolve itself?

What is happening when this user tries to send a message? Is it missing the "send" option? Does it come up with the red X? If so, open up the message and see what error is showing under status.

Is the issue with creating a new email, replying to a message, or both?

I just deleted his Desktop[CMIME] again it works now but he did say that when it doesn't work there is a red x and that this happens when he tries to send a new email or replying to an email. When this happens again he will let me know what the error message says. Thanks for the help on this.

I am presuming they receive mail via BES.... Do you think it is possible that this user connects the device to a PC where they might have accidentally installed the "Redirector" software? It sounds like it is getting confused on which account it should use to send.

We've had this issue a few times and it may have been due to corrupted folders on the Exchange Server. We wiped the device, closed Outlook on the user's computer, reopened it with the /resetfolders switch, then reactivated the device.
