Default Sim card?

Please Login to Remove!

Is a sim card needed just for a BB data plan? I would like to buy a data plan and use my own sims for the voice.

I will be travelling to Taiwan and China next week, can I get a netter deal on a BB there?

With T-Mobile and ATT, yes. Verizon and Sprint don't have SIM cards.

I have a sprint and it has a simm card. With that said, I went overseas and used a card from over there (much cheaper). On another note I had to put my sprint simm card in for e-mail, then replace it with the one I purchased over there for phone calls. There are cards that do both, but I did not have time to find out which one was best.

I looking to get a GSM BB to use overseas, I thought iff you use one of the local phone carriers sim it locks your phone and you are only able to use they're service.

The 8830 is a world phone and Sprint has it unlocked

So if I buy an 8830 I can have a voice plan from Sprint and when I travel I can use my own sim for voice and if I want to check emails overseas I can just use the Sprint sim? Can I transfer my Verizon service on the CDMA and use my own sim for GSM at the same time that way I can have Am I correct?

Is it also possible to transfer my verizon service to this and add BB data plan through verizon then use the gsm side with my own sim for travelling?

Can I get a deal on a BB in Taiwan or China?

GSM phones use SIM cards, CDMA not.
