Default reception issues..

Please Login to Remove!

My wife and I have noticed since we recieved our new blackberry 8310's ( AT&T ) That our reception hasn't been what it was on our old device ( Sony Ericsson W300I ) we have the new sim cards and everything.. The best reception we see now in our home is roughly 2 bars.. where as before it was 4 to 5 atleast with the old phones.. Anyone have a clue why it's gone so far down? We have never really had any issues with them.. Cept for where I am currently, but everyone has them here Lol.. We live pretty close to the tower for AT&T so shouldn't be that low.. I appreciate any input you guys have on this.. And is there anyway to boost the signal? ( I know those antenna boosters don't work ) lol.. Just looking for other methods that might help. Thanks again.

Really don't know why there would be such a big difference. However, are you now having reception problems inside the house with the blackberry ?

This is mostly inside.. Where I am currently, everyone gets horrible reception in our rooms... at home we used to never have an issue ( Inside ) But since we upgraded to the BB's we are here and there having issues.

try an OS upgrade, on rare occassions i have noticed differing versions of the OS will have different signal capture. Its rare, but possible.

not a problem at all. Although SE makes some decent phones in terms of reception, I cant say that ive seen a non pda phone get significantly better reception than a blackberry. I am afraid I am at a loss on this one.

You and me both! lol.. I don't really notice a difference where I am because EVERYONE get's horrible reception ( Currently in El Centro, Ca ) At home, I never really pay attention.. I get reception ( Even 1 bar ) i am happy. Where I am now ( Inside and some places outside ) move 5 feet in any direction.. Dropped signal LOL.. And inside a building? Hug the window or door and you might be able to make a phone call or send a text Lol...
