Default This is what I think of RIM Blackberry 7100T's

Here you go guys, in a nutshell this is what I think of RIM and its products.
After COUNTLESS calls to T-Mobile with "Blackberry experts" not a single one could tell me why this device white screens in the middle of calls, takes 10 min to come back to life, resends every IM and Email with WVG3821> topics from the day the blackberry service was started (yeah thats right... try 1500 emails all with the same date/time/ and topic titles of WSGV31821,3822,3833) not to mention looses the blue tooth devices each time.. has TERRIBLE reception in good signal areas, Pi$$ poor battery life, NO voicedial, Garbage Midi ringtones, and a fumbling net key dead nuts in the middle top of the thumbpad... Personally I think the RIM BB7100T is the biggest peice of garbage to ever hit the streets... So look below at my attachment...and you decide if this device is worth 199.00... I sure in heck dont..

Oh and Tmobile tech support.. You really shouldn't let your corporate store employees show customers internal memos about how "buggy" the device is.. Just dont sell it.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA......

I have to admit, I've seen a lot of whiners and ranters, but YOU mu friend put your money where your mouth is.

I am sorry the device didn't work out for you, some of your issues are valid, and others could have been resolved with some good customer care OR by asking the questions here on the forum first.

Anyhow, good luck with your next phone, I hope it works out!

I found the forum a little too late scooby, I really did want the device to work for me..Mostly which pressed me into this direction versus a winmobile device was the beautiful screen it possessed, The security features, Bluetooth, and the thumb board. Reading some of the forum posts, I see some of the complaints I adressed could have been resolved, Such as the HS850 Volume issue.

The main reason for upgrading the OS to 4.x was the latency on dialing, freezes, and poor network locating. The latency, although present was still there but only on rapid dialing. Since I use the device 99% of the time in the car, performance became a major issue. I cannot tell you in the first week ho w many times I had to focus on the screen while driving because it didn't respond to keypress's as fast as I would have liked it to.

Since I use (or in this case used) the device mostly for retail business I started looking like a real dope when my customers kept saying " What did you say?? " and I look down with full signal (TERRIBLE Reception)

The night this happened I was just at wits end with signal location that I never EVER had a problem with on my Nokia 6800 series. I attribute most of the rebooting, and email slaughter from network hopping between cell segments. The resulting homicide was a non collective instantanious reaction, that was over in all of 35 seconds, When complete I just looked down, Grabbed the overheating LI and with visions of old star trek communicators on overload, sent the smoking peices out the garage door.

Looking back I regret doing it, since I would much rather have inflicted a 10K jolting surge from an old oil furnace transformer.

By the way, if anyone needs a spare AC adapter, Box, UK plug ends or car charger you are welcome to them at your expense, they are brandy new.

Supermoose66,
I'm sorry for your frustration. I would be interested in the AC adapter and car charger. Just let me know how you would like to handle this. You can e-mail me at [email address].
Thanks so much.

Cool

So, when your teenage son fails math, experiments with pot, constantly neglects taking out the trash, never cleans his room, loses interest in the middle of calls with you, and takes 10 minutes to respond to whatever you say, are you going to Black & Decker his a$$ too?

Chill out man. Try the device for 15-30 days (depending upon company's policy) and return if unsatisfied, like the rest of normal sociaety. In the alternative, burn a fatty and watch some MTV. Either way, takes steps to reduce your stress level my friend - you only have one life here, enjoy it while you can.
