Does anyone know about downloading/installing apps through the Opera browser? I don't live in a country where blackberry plans are available so I'm using generic data... but each time I try to install a program over the web from Opera, it tries to open it through the blackberry browser, which doesn't work for me.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

To download over the air (OTA) the native blackberry browser is required otherwise you will need to use desktop manager to load any apps

Opera will pass download requests to the device's built-in browser. That's why you see that behavior.

No way around it huh? No other program I can use just to fetch a file to the device's memory somewhere? No way to get the blackberry's native browser to work on a generic data setup?
