Default OTA downloads with no BBbrowser?

Please Login to Remove!

I have an VZW 8830 on a corporate BES which has disabled the browser. There are many OTA apps that I would like to add to the phone (gmail, google maps) but I cannot because the download invokes the disabled browser. Is there any way around this? I have tried re-sending the service books from the BB-VZW website. No luck. Any help wouyld be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Can't do OTA downloads without BB browser. Also sounds to me like your employer doesn't permit you to install apps on the blackberry.

Yes. I can do PC installs. There is no issue with my employer and installing apps. I currently run Opera Mini and it works great.
