Have you ever had the ball fly off the side or the top of the screen, only to freeze your game in the middle and you cannot get it started again?

I was like 10 pts from breaking my high score with 13 lives left the one time that it happened... I was so annoyed I let it sit there for like 2 hrs and the ball never came back...
