Default basic syncing emails on BB and cpu question...

Please Login to Remove!

apologies if this in in an faq somewhere, i searched to no avail.

anyways, any way to set things up such that once i've read and deleted an email on my cpu, the BB will recognize this and turn off the LED notifier/delete it from the handheld (in cases where i deleted it on my cpu)?

You mean your cpu, located on your PC. If you are on a BES corporate enterprise server, you can sync your read mail and deletes such as you desire.

On BIS, no. There are some servers such as GMail that will do what you desire. No know your setup, impossible to say if it will work for you.

Gmail read/unread reconcile from GMail webmail to your BB is very slow, can be hours. So don't count on it working like you desire. And it only reconciles the the read/unread, I doubt it will deal with the red LED anyway, if it did within the 15 minutes that light blinks...

Don't get your hopes up.
