Default You Decide For Me-----8310 or 8820???

Please Login to Remove!

Work has just came to me and asked me to give up my personal service 8100 and they are going to provide me with a work-issued phone :(

The good thing is that they gave me two different choices...

8310 or 8820

I've been doing research on the two and they seem pretty much the same with the exception that the 8310 has rounded corners and the 8820 has square ones and a longer lasting battery.

So I leave it to the people of Blackberry Forums to make the decision for me... since I'm impartial either way.

I'll read the notes if you have a gripe for one or the other.... but the one with the most votes within the next two hours wins and I order that phone (unless I'm seriously pushed to the other side by comments left...)

Thanks for helping me choose my new phone!

The bigger difference is that the 8820 has WiFi, and the 8310 has GPS built-in.
Which do you prefer and would use the additional feature (if not blocked by your company BES) most?

I would use the GPS most, and I like the form factor of the 8310 more.

You should go to a local retailer and see and hold both. If you are currently on thh Pearl, I suggest you will like the 8310 more for size.

I prefer the keypad on the 83xx opposed to the 88xx.

8310, man! I think the form factor, like JSanders said, more closely resembles the Pearl.

THe 8820 has GPS as well. Basically do you want wi-fi? as it stands even with GPS and Wi-FI the 8820 battery far surpases the 8310 battery. I mean 20+ days of standby is awesome. They keypad is better on the 83xx series IMO. It really depends on what you are looking for.
