Default AT&T Smart Limits

Please Login to Remove!

I was just informed that the Smart Limits service from AT&T is currently in beta testing right now. This is a re-release of the service after AT&T found an issue with 911 operators not being able to call phones back upon disconnection, if the service was in place.

The beta group is currently limited to AT&T customers that had the service on their account prior to the pullback of the service (I have also confirmed this with a family friend, who had the service).

This is probably not major (or even minor) news to most adult BB users, but does apply to those of us who have passed our gadget fixation onto our younger family members.

For an explanation of what Smart Limits for Wireless does, go here:

Smart Limits are now active for all phone accounts. It can be added in your ATT online Account, or by calling Customer Care.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

You can also go into a corporate store and get it.

Really is a great feature especially if you have kids and want to keep them from running up a high bill!

We use the service for my daughter. Limit the hours of the day she can use the phone, and we have a white list of numbers she can call.

Very easy to setup online.
