Default I Need help with my bluetooth

Well i have a blackberry 7290 and when my friends try to bluetooth me ringtones they find me and i have to put in a passkey so i finally figured out the passkey and then when they are sending it it says on they're phone service not reqiured. so i dont know

Does the 7290 have bluetooth enabled for data? I know the 8700 series was voice only until OS 4.2.

Correct. You can't transfer files via bluetooth on the 7290.
