Default Desktop Manager crashes computer, please help.

Hi, I have an almost brand new HP computer and a new Blackberry Pearl. When I connect it to my computer and use the desktop manager to get photos off my phone, my computer crashes immediately after being connected for about 3 or 4 minutes, or right after I disconnect it. Any ideas on how to fix these problems?

It also changes my timezone for some reason!

Uninstall whatever version you are running and download and install DM version 4.2 SP2 from the RIM website.

I know my desktop stalls for a bit after connection but it's because the application is attempting to connect to the Email servers.

Desktop Manager doesn't connect to email AFAIK.
