Default VPN & SSH Clients

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

My employer is about to buy me a 8830 world edition. The main reason they are doing this is I am going to be the primary on-call resource for our Asterisk phone system. That being said, I would like to know whether there is a VPN client that would allow me to connect to the network at work, and then use an SSH client to connect to the Linux server. I can publish the IP publically, but would prefer not to. Thanks.

Cheers,

Ayth

Are you on a BES? If so, then you don't need a VPN client. BES provides secure access to your internal network through MDS.

For an SSH client, I'd recommend Mobile SSH by Rove. Rove - Enterprise software for handhelds
Actually, all of Rove's BlackBerry software is excellent.

Yes I will be on a BES server. I've not really touched BES too much before, with the expception of setting a user up. So in theory I could plug the IP of my asterisk server into the ssh client and away it goes? Thanks.
