I am on BIS and one of my email is a verizon pop account via outlook. I noticed in the past few days that when I open my email on my handheld, then go to my outlook and open the same emails, they started deleting off my handheld without me actually deleting them. They do however stay in outlook.

I have "sychronize deleted items between this mailbox and device" checked on my BIS. However, I am not actually deleting the items, only reading them.

Any suggestions to stop the emails from deleting on the handheld?

BTW- I am not having this problem on my gmail account, only POP account..

Are you missing call logs? If so check your memory. Menu>options>Status

If not what is your message retention set at "Forever"? Are they older messages that are deleting?

It doesn't appear that I am missing call logs. My memory is at 13570988 which should be sufficient and I have my messages set to "forever."

And actually are new messages deleting. Well be removed from the handheld.

I am stummped by this since its never happened before.

I wanted to revist this issue since its still occurring. Long story short, when I receive an email on my BB to my verizon POP account, I read the email on my handheld and keep it there. When I go into my outlook which is my POP verizon account, the email shows are unread. When I open the email in outlook, it deletes that same email off my handheld???

Should "sychronize deleted items between this mailbox and my device" be checked? I currently have it checked on my BIS site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated it. This is drving me nuts because I like to keep certain emails on my handheld. Thanks

Ok folks, after a long painful conversation with Verizon tonight. It turns out that Verizon is having server issues. Basically, none of my emails are being held on the server. They said it should be fixed within the next 48 hours. I am just glad that it had nothing to do with my BB persay.

Anyways, more the reason to totally phase out my POP account in favor of gmail!!
