Default Is it possible to use regular 3.5mm stereo headset?

I just got a Pearl. I noticed it has the 2.5mm jack. There are adapter on the market.

Is it possible to use the adapter to listen to music with a regular 3-contact-point stereo headset?

If so, what happens with microphone? There is none on such headset. Does phone call go through other system (bluetooth or built-in speaker/mic)?

you should get mono sound with a standard headset.

The adapter has 3 rings. My guess is that I will get stereo out of it. However, not sure what happens with Mic for phone call.

There are a number of threads on this topic in the 8800,8300 & 8100 forums. Not all adapters are created equal. Siedo makes one that will work in stereo for about $10 US. Check those threads for the links.

you may short out the electrical connection and give yourself a repair bill.
It's designed for ear and mike connections
