If I purchase a blackberry straight from the store do they register the serial number with blackberry warranty or am I the only one that's allowed to do that?

I have never had to register one. Had 2 new ones purchased at a corp ATT store, so I just assume they handle warranty, not RIM.

Yea thats what I'm talking about cingular warranty, you know if your phone starts malfunctioning Cingular warranty on your blackberry will help you out. Do they register that serial number you have by the battery when you purchase straight from the store?

Never mind I retrieved the answer I was looking for. My new question is, if you sell your product to another number and its still under that 1 year period for the warranty, is the warranty still in affect?

I dont know about that one because when I registered my blackberry I clearly told them I had bought it from a third party and it registered without a problem

I dont think anyone offers any insurance on PDA's, they have larger cost than the average flip phone that probably cost $2 to make.

Question No insurance from AT&T...What to do???

AT&T doesn't offer insurance on my Blackberry and I had to get a new one because the manufacturer's warranty doesn't cover water damage. Anyone know of a reputable 3rd party insurance company I can use, so I can save myself some money in the long run??
