Default Cruise question

Please Login to Remove!

My wife and I are going on a Carribean cruise in February and I was wondering if we would be able to use my blackberry on board the ship and if if so how expensive it would be. I am from Canada and use Bell Mobility. I guess I should mention that I have a BB Pearl as well.

You probably can. Check for rates through the international department -- that's where it is for Sprint.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Also check with the actual cruise line they may have seperate rates other than what your carrier will charge.

Definately check your carriers rates, I know Royal Carribean has an agreement with AT&T and maybe sprint and a 3rd party marine mobile communications company to allow cellphone voice and data usage aboard their ships, I know for AT&T customers, onboard usage was something like $1.99 a minute which was a million times better than the $8-$10 a minute they charge for usage of their satelite phones.
