Default maximum attempts for password

Please Login to Remove!

Can anyone help? I've received the following dialogue box, "Last Attempt! Information will be erased on failure! I've tried to unlock my BB and mistyped the password 4 times and the 5th time it appears is the maximum attempt.

I am afraid if I try to use the password I believe to be correct, I will lose everything on my BB. I have a sim card, will the information on that card be safe if I don't get it right with this 5th attempt?

The info on the sim card will be fine but everything on the BB will be wiped. This is the password to get into the BB?

Yes, my BB locks after 1 hour of not being used and I have attempted to use the password I believe to be correct but I'm afraid I will lose everything. By everything being wiped, do you mean my settings, etc? or will I lose all emails, etc?

Everything will be lost. Are you on a BES through your work?
