I am new to blackberry and wanted to know why my message folder was the only one lighting up with a red star even though it was actually an e-mail that has come in. When I go to my e-mail folder the message is in there too, but the folder does not light up. It would be easier if SMS messages only went into the message folder and e-mails when in the e-mail folder. My friends does, but he can't help. Can anyone else? Thanks, John

Welcome to the BBForums.

The main messages folder gets ALL messages. You can separate out the SMS/MMS messages by going to Messages > General Options > SMS and MMS inboxes > Separate.

Then hide your specific email folder, you don't really need it, IT duplicates the main messages fodler.
