When I log into my webclient through Blackberry Internet Service (i guess I am describing that correctly), anyway, where i go to set up email accounts for my BB, I have multiple email accounts. They don't appear to be listed in any particular order, however, I want my primary email account to be listed first. I have tried various ways to change that but nothing works consistently. For instance, I have deleted all accounts but my primary and then reset them back up and it just randomly puts them in an order. Is there a way to control that order?
I am on T-Mobile and I don't believe there is a way on my BIS setup, and I doubt there is a way on other carriers. I don't think it really matters at all as far as the BlackBerry is concerned. If you want to set the primary account for sending e-mails on the device you will go to Options > Advanced Options > Default Services.
I know this is going to sound petty, but, the reason I want to change the order is because whichever account is first on that list(i just press 'delete' and it goes), I can quickly delete it from my BB when going through and checking emails while on all the others, I get the "confirm delete" question then I have to select delete on handheld only or delete on handheld and server. This just eliminates that step. Now, maybe there is some other way to accomplish the same thing but I don't know what it is.
I have mine set so I am not prompted when I delete e-mails. What I did was:
1.) Go to Messages > Options > General Options and set the Confirm Delete option to No
2.) Go to Messages > Options > Email Reconciliation and set the "Delete On" option for each account to Mailbox and Handheld (or just Mailbox if I want to leave it on the e-mail server).
Now when I delete e-mails they just delete without me getting any prompts at all. Once I press the DEL key it just removes the message.
That may be a bit confusing, what I meant to say is that I can quickly delete the emails from that first listed account, while all the others require confirmation of deletion. I do have the "confirm delete" option set to know but that doesn't seem to effect ALL of my email accounts. Just the first listed one. Or at least, that is what it appears.
OK. I spoke too soon. I thought that addressed my challenge but it doesn't. Even when I go in and make those changes, I still get the confirming delete message except for whichever email account is at the top of my list of accounts on BIS.
