Default Help - The 8830 or Pearl 8130

Please Login to Remove!

I'm purchasing my first blackberry (was a long time treo user) and have to decide between the 8830 or the Pearl 8130.

I basically want the pda to work well with outlook from a contacts, calendar and email standpoint.

Which one should I choose, or better yet, which one would you choose. My provider is sprint (if it makes a diff).

Thanks!

I have now had both and prior to owning the 8130 I swore that I would never use another suretype device ( I type alot and often). The 8130 has surpassed my expectations with the newest generation of suretype. I love it.

I was facing the same decision and, last night, I got my first Blackberry - an 8130. So far, I like it. The only thing about suretype that I find anoying is when you want to type non-standard words. I was referring to Sen. Obama in an e-mail, and it took me about 5 minutes to type O-B-A-M-A! It always wanted to guess at some other word. I'm sure there's a way around this behaviour. I just haven't figured it out yet.

Overall, I am very happy with my decision. Good luck with yours.

i absolutely love my 8130. I used to have a 7130e and the suretype on that wasn't to bad but the 8130 definitely has impressed me. I have an 8703e for work and the full keyboard is nice but the suretype of the 8130 can definitely compare
