Default Can't register in BIS

Please Login to Remove!

I'v just bought an 7290 second hand. It is branded with O2 probably IE or UK. I'w trying to register with bis throught Orange (PL) but there is a message that this device has been registered with some other carrier...
What should I do?

You should ask the previous owner to remove or release the IMEI and PIN from his carrier. You can call the carrier and ask, and they may do it for you if you explain you purchased it used. They don't have to do it for you (since you are not the owner in their book, so being nice and saying please is recommended.

Probably it is not possible. It wasn't bought directly from the previous user... Is there any other method?

Talk nice tot he carrier where it is registered, if you know. Might also be able to escalate to RIM, but you will need proof that you own it.

This may well not mean what it says, this error is also seen when the device is not provisioned on the relay. Do you have lower case gprs/edge? Registered with the network via the Host Routing Table?
