Default BIS and Outlook Exchange

Please Login to Remove!

Hey folks,

I'm new to the BB device and have been trolling around this site and other places to find an answer that I hope is an easy call. I'm running BIS and have hooked up my company email to my device... I get all of my general inbox emails but any of my filtered subfolders don't show up. I really need access to my subfolders since I have them filtered on importance and certian users. Any ideas if this is possible with BIS?? Thanks!

I'm afraid this is not possible with BIS - only BES supports this.

I miss my subfolders from using Chatter on my old Treo so you're not the only one that misses subfolders!

Wow... Can't believe that such a simple feature isn't available?? So that's how they push you to BES huh

I was also thinking pushing forwards to my BB email address but I can't seem to get Outlook 2007 rules to recognize the push to my BB address

Any outlook advice on here

You might have to have the forward rule set up on the Exchange server. i did this until BIS and Exchange 2007 played nicely together.

I too, miss the sorting into folders. But have to live with the hand I'm dealt. If Outlook isn't running I get all emails on my BB. If outlook is running, they get filtered.

It's really not that simple if you dig into the details. A lot of the protocols that BIS support don't have any way of providing folder information to BIS. It seems like OWA should but it doesn't either... BIS just doesn't integrate into your mail system the same as BES does. They're not just selling you the BES server software for cosmetic purposes. It really does a lot to enable all the additional functionality that comes with BES.
