Airpooh, I think we work for the same people.
We've moved a lot of users to Sprint, and seen these 'Data Connection refused" errors come up frequently when moving user's existing numbers from other carriers over to Sprint. (This problem is NOT related to Cisco routers).
In this case, the devices are not being programmed properly over the air when the ported cell # activates on the device. The MSSID or Email address or password programmed internally on the BlackBerry doesn't change when programmed remotely, and causes a connection problem. It can be reprogrammed by hand with assistance from Sprint, and normally resolves the immediate problem.
Our frustration is that the problem continues, Sprint can't seem to fix it no matter how many times it occurs or how many examples we provide of who it happened to, and that 'handcrafting' each 'repair' is costly in terms of time and money of the individuals involved.
Add the 'Cisco' problem with the 7750, and I'd gather Sprint Tech Support has their hands full. (I'm certainly not trying to defend Sprint here; they owe it to their customer base - Business and personal - to whip this problem NOW, not later).
