I have been tinkering with my BB to try to get a contact into BB Messenger. I was having a 'Decryption error', and saw that the solution was to downgrade the destop manager. I tried that - which did nothing. So, I uninstalled Desktop Manager (3.6) and re-installed 4.0. Now, my Bluetooth is all hosed up! There's no longer a Bluetooth icon on the home screen, and when I try to sync my headset, it shows up as an 'Audio Device' instead of the way it used to show up as Motorola HS850. And it no longer syncs!! Anybody have any ideas how to fix this?

Not sure how it got hosed up. But uninstalling/reinstalling the handheld software did the trick.

Go to your desktop control panel and do Add/Remove Programs and remove the handheld software. Make sure you have the handheld software ready to re-install, and as soon as the uninstall is complete, do a re-install. If you're a good Windows citizen, then you should probably reboot in between. After that, re-register your bluetooth headset, and you should get your Bluetooth icon back in your home screen, once the device is registered... Good luck.
