Default Wireless App deployment

Please Login to Remove!

Let say I have group policy which disallows wireless deployment of applications. However there is one application which I want to allow to be installed. Is there any way we can make an exception for that particular jar file to be downloaded and installed. I know i can create less restrictive policy and apply it to device beforehand and switch back afterwards but it's not easy to manage for many devices. I would also like to be able to push the file from BES as opposed to having each user pulling it to their device.

thanks

what about pushing just that application out to the handhelds, then you wouldnt have to worry about allowing other apps. now i may be wrong about this, but i believe even with disabling OTA downloads there is an option in the BES to allow pushed enterprise apps

so what you are saing is that there is a way for application to be automatically pushed out to a device once it registers with BES? Because
that's exactly what we want. Thanks for replying.

create new software configuration
access shared research in motion directory via unc path
create a new policy with disposition required (meaning software is required)
check application from the software configuration list
assign policy to the application with required disposition
assign software configuration to handheld.
or the RIM KB article BlackBerry Search Results
