Music through Bluetooth headset???Is it possible?

Is there any way to listen to music and media through a bluetooth headset on the 8130 pearl? I was hoping that I could listen to music with my ear piece.

Is this possible?

a stereo bluetooth headset yes, not a standard bluetooth headset

well more specifically it has to support a2dp bluetooth profile

my guess is mine won't do it. I just bought my headset and received it today, but it wasn't a top of the line.

It is a Motorola H700. Will this one cut it for music?

Motorola Motorola H700

Looking at the specs, I don't believe it supports the a2dp profile.

Thanks for the info. Guess on my next headset i'll be sure to get the a2dp.

Try the Motorola S9 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones.......or the Motorola HT820 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones. Both of those will work fine.(y)

Probably a stupid question, and I appologize in advance if the answer is as obviouse as I think it is, but when your phone gets a call, you can answer the call using this headset as well?

Sith_Apprentice 02-09-2008 09:12 AM

yes the music will pause and the call will come through the headset. when the call is over the music starts back up

Add'l Stereo Headset

You might also check out the Jabra BT8010. It has the capability to do stereo bluetooth but can also be used as a single earpiece, rather than two.
You can find user reviews for it.

Also be aware from what I have read - The Bluetooth headsets that do play music through the headphones do NOT play the audio from video files through the headphones - Video sound ONLY plays through the internal speakers. At least, that is currently the case. Apparently, the time delay in "broadcasting" to the headset would create a noticeable lip-sync issue on movies.

I have the 8010...and use it for calls and music. If you can get the process down to get it on your ear it's quite nice. It was one of the hardest headsets, for me, in terms of just getting used to how to put it on for a comfortable fit. :)

The optional secondary ear piece that it uses to provide stereo sound seems like a good idea when you see it online, but the heavy geek factor makes it an unlikely fashion statement in reality. ;-)
