Supposedly.

YMMV (your mileage may vary)

I got a refurb Curve from AT&T a few weeks ago and I've had no problems as all.

Talked my brother into his first BB that was a refurb Curve. He loves it, and has had no issues to this point.

I have a refurb phone that is a warranty swap for a new one that just died one day. The refurb is way better than my new one was. It is way more stable and just performs better.

I'd have no qualms buying a refurb directly from one of the carriers. I wouldn't buy one from another seller.
