Default help. text gone stupid

Please Login to Remove!

my predictive text has gone retarded. seems like it happened last Sat , during Mardi gras festivities. it just doesn't know what's goin on. it give me crazy options and symbols for simple words

i'm sure it's a simple fix, but i can't figure it out

anyone know what's goin on ?

Sounds to me like the default language has been changed.
Not sure if the BB has gone retarded, but anyway.

Good. Have you tried to pop the battery out and then back in?

LOL you didn't say that in your original posts, and you'd be shocked how many people do not try that.

Well, if you've checked those two, all I can recommend is to back it up, wipe it out with JL_CMDER and reload the OS.

I am having a similar problem. It looks like Farsi script when I type. I did take the battery out but I may try it again and leave it out for a longer period of time. It's weird - it just seemed to happen on its own.

Ok - I got my problem fixed. I went to the languages option and put it on "English" instead of "English(US)". Don't know why that worked but it did so maybe it will help you out as well.

I think I understand what English (US) is and English (UK) is, but what would just English be? Is it Canadian English?
