Im using outlook 2002, and brand new pearl 8130. The synch for my contacts and notes synchs well both ways, but not the calendar. Desktop 4.3.0.17.
Ive lost most recurring birthdays etc in OUtlook, but they remain intact on my 8130. Ive tried 8130 to OUtlook only sycnh, but still wont move recurring items to Outlook. Two way synch didnt work either. I initially synched all my calendar info from OUtlook to my phone, but subsequent synch setups and son have left me at this place.
How can I update my OUtlook to match my phone items. One way and two way synch didnt work.

I'm not at my computer to look, but in desk top manager configuration settings there is an option to set the number of days in future and the number of days in past to sync. Have you looked at that? If so an it still isn't working for you, then I don't know.

IVe got it set for all dates, so that shouldnt be it.

Next thing, if it were me, is use desktop manager to clear the calendar database on the blackberry, then re-sync (if your outlook calendar is up to date).

Have you deleted DM and tried re-installing it.

I assume you mean Desktop Manage. That I havnt tried. Hate to do it but Im still not synched right. Unfoortuantely, my BB is updated rite, its my desktop/outlook that not. Im thinking you may be right however, my contacts are synching so well right now, I hat to muck with it.

under configure sync, scroll to calendar, then click setup. set the sync to do a one way from BB to Outlook. It wont take anything FROM outlook, but should take your entire BB calendar database TO outlook

Another option if you are still dealing with this is to downgrade to desktop manager 4.2 SP2. I can never remember the exact cutoff, but 4.3 does not work with the older versions of outlook, and a lot of people have trouble with 4.3 anyway.

EDIT: I looked at OP again and see you are sync'ing to some extent. But I would still try 4.2 SP2.

4.3 has some issues period. I have used it will 2000 and forward with no issues on compatability though. You might just have a bug in the DM.

I did that,but it wont work. Looks like the synch for the bb/outlook calendar is smucked. Id like to use Google Calendar, but since it will import events only from Outlook, not bb:(

you can use a program called google sync to sync your google calendar to the bb and vice versa. do a search on here and you will find the download link. I would uninstall DM and install 4.2 sp 2 from the blackberry.com website

I'm out of ideas. The bb-outlook sync is probably the cleanest way of doing it (EDIT: I mean cleanest way of sync'ing). Sounds like the calendar database is just boogered up. I'd be looking at the easiest way to recreate the calendar from scratch. Hope someone else has a better idea.
