To repeat these steps again:

- Download the Handheld OS for the 8100 to your PC.
- Install the program youi just downloaded
- Make sure Desktop Manager is shut down
- Locate and delete VENDOR.XML on your PC C: drive
- Connect your BB and restart Desktop Manager

Good luck.

You see a screen like the attached picture - correct? (this is MY device, so your device screen will not look exactly the same)

You check/uncheck the applications you want to install and then click Next and then Finish, then Close (when it is done)- correct?

It may take 20-30 minutes to complete the upgrade. Are you leaving your device connected to your PC until after you click Close?

It sounds like Windows is not connecting properly to your Blackberry device.

Perhaps run the installation for Desktop Manager again.....?

When you installed it, did you install using Doug's instructions above?

Your keyboard should have a Print Screen button. That will copy the picture to the PC keyboard.

Open up the Paint or maybe the Microsoft Word application and then perform the Paste function.

Then click the Go Advanced button at the bottom of the thread and then click Manage Attachments to add the picture.

When you installed Desktop Manager, did you follow Doug's suggestion above?

You need to be patient and wait until we are able to respond, which may take several minutes.
