Default outgoing mail going via ISP's server - help

Please Login to Remove!

Some of my email is going out direct through my Blackberry/Verizon account.
Some is going out via another ISP's POP server which I set up the Blackberry to receive mail from.

In the second case, there is a long delay before my emails reach the recipient.

Does anyone know how I can control this so that the mail always goes out through my Blackberry/Verizon account ?

many thanks in advance.

I may not understand. But, FYI you can select send using. When composing, scroll up to the top of the message and edit this field.

If you have setup multiple BIS account. Which ever account you send from it will use that mail service.

Example. If you use Gmail. Sent mail will be process by Gmail.

Just to clear things up for you a little. The blackberry doesn't allways use your ISP's server, it makes it look like it comes from there. Unless its one of the ones that they have a special deal with, such as gmail, aol, yahoo etc.

To set it up to send via your blackberry address all the time, go to settings>advanced options>default services. then select you blackberry email address. If you want it to look like its come from you ISP's account, log into your BIS account, select the Blackberry email address, and put your ISP's email address in the reply to field.

Then when you send someone a mail, it looks like you have sent from your isp, if they click reply it will come from to your isp, and you will have that faster delivery too!!

If that made sense! lol
