Default BES - SRP Problem

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

I have got a little problem. I during migration from exchange 2000 to 2003 and AD 2000 to 2003, I decided to reinstall my BlackBerry Server on a MS Virtual Server. But it lokks like this was not a good idea.

My old Blackberry-Server (3.6.3) was running on an physical machine, my now BB-Server is running on an Ms VirtualMachine running on a MS Virtual Server. The old name of the bb-Server was "SKABLACK", and the name of the new Server is "SKAVBLACK". When I finished installing and configurating the new BEServer (3.6.5) I keep getting the message in BlackBerry Server Enterprise Manager "SRP status: Disconnected".

Could it be, that the SRP-Keys are associated with the old BlackBerry Server? Or how can I get rid of this problem? Anyone here how have got an idea?

If you need further informations, please let ma know it.

Regards
Marius

Were they ever running at the same time? If so, then contact RIM to have the SRP status cleared.

For the sake of your users, I would rename the instance name to the same thing as the old one (SKABLACK). This way, they do not have to recradle their handhelds.

To add, there is a BES Admins sub-forum on here, so all BES-related questions should go there. Just look on the main forum listing page and its towards the middle/bottom.
