Default Blackberry Messenger with BES

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone successfully using Blackberry Messenger with a BES? I'm finding that I can communicate with others from this forum, but can't use Messenger with anyone else from my company.

I can send invitations/requests to add the person to my buddy list, and we can even start a conversation. But as soon as I try to send a message, the message appears to hit the wire, and then I get back a Decryption Error. This only happens with other people within my company. Externals work perfectly.

Anyone else having this problem? Anyone else NOT having this problem, and successfully communicating with people on their same BES server?

In the mean time, I'm trying to just send PIN messages to others on my same BES server. If that doesn't work, then obviously, Messenger won't work, but then I'll be curious to know why PIN messages are not working.

Last, anyone else got their firewall active on the BB? Just want to make sure that is not contributing to my situation. Thanks.

Works fine here. I've chatted with two people now from the company that I've installed it for them with no issues. It perhaps is an encryption thing on the IT Policy.

Here you are:

I would imagine the "Disable Peer-to-Peer Normal Send" policy is turned on.

That sounds promising! I'll check with my IT group about that...
