Up and down like mad here, BC, Canada. Was up to slightly over 1000 pending, hit just about 200, but its climbing again. BES is notifying me of the SRP disconnects and connects in Outlook every 10 minutes or so.

Have not been receiving since the last message of 1:36 PM (PST). The SRP Status from the BlackBerry Manager shows connected. Trying to get a hold of RIM support but have been hold for a very long time and still waiting.

This is ridiculous. Messages are steady piling up and the phone continues to ring.

Default Why PIN Messaging delays? - 02-11-2008, 05:13 PM

I am a bit concerned that PIN Messaging does not look to be reliable during this outage. We had always counted on PIN as the backdoor for emergency situations.

I guess it makes sense that it could be "flooded" and slow - though thats not something we considered in our Disaster Recovery plans.

Probably not a huge issue, as in 99% of our disaster scenarios, it will be localized to us, and RIM will be fine - thus PIN flooding\delays wont be an issue. It is the 1% where RIM is down that this creates the problem.

You're probably gonna get the same response that most of us have gotten already. "They are aware of the outage and are working diligently to resolve the matter."

I have not gotten any notifications of SRP disconnects and connects this whole time. Very strange, as far as I can tell SRP never disconnected for my BES, yet still no email.

I know last time RIM had this issue I got notification of the SRP disconnect in Outlook, and eventually my BB. At about 500 pending now.

Happened here a bit past 12pm in Southern California (Los Angeles), we have a SRP Disconnect going on. Checking the logs, ping attempts and disconnection failures. We're on Verizon and it seems it has affected my friends other company too. Can't get a hold of BB support, as i would of guessed, their support lines are hammered. There goes Jim Balsillie's promise of this not happening again! so much for a backup! -.-

Nothing moving here. And now my personal (BIS only) device is not working either for email or PIN.

Yes, that's normal for a Blackberry service outage.

If you're on BES, you can open the Blackberry Manager; select your BES name under BlackBerry Domain | Servers; click on the Server Configuration tab to see the status.
