Default turning blackberry off

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I just wanted to know if anyone has been experiencing the same problam as i have. it seems that if i click the power icon on my blackberry screen it asks me "power off" or "full power off". whenever i select "full power off" the blackberry drains the battery (itself ) while in off mode. the only way for me to turn it back on is to plug it in to the charger and wait for the berry to charge. has anyone else noticed this issue and is there a way to stop this from happening? i am using a blackberry 7250 with bell provider

thank you

I've had many blackberries on different networks, but I've never experienced that problem while the blackberry is shut off. Once this did occur while I was attempting to charge the device from my work PC--the blackberry USB driver wasn't loaded, and while it appeared to be charging (lightning bolt icon was present) it was actually draining the device. This was corrected when I loaded the driver onto my PC.

Thanx for your reply , I just spoke to a bell rep.and he told me that there must be something wrong with my bb and I should take it back to the store. If they can fix it they will if not they will hook me up with a new one. I can't complain about that.

What it means by "full power off" and "power off" is that if you have an alarm set on the device it will turn back on when the device is "powered off" and not "fully powered off." As for the issue you have are having i would say take it back.

Wirelessly posted (7250: BlackBerry7250/4.0.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

Have you tried reloading the OS for the bb? This only takes a few minutes, and it could resolve the issue. It would be a pain to notify all of your contacts of your new PIN. Especially if its a software bug of some sort causing the issue.
