Default 8310 Curve Activation with BES

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I am total new to all this so go easy...

I have a blackberry 8310 with software version 4.2.2.176 installed.
I am trying to activate with a BES with version 4.1.0.10 blackberry manager.

Basically I did have one that activated ok, but now the rest are freezing on 0% . so the email actually works, but the phone isnt getting any old emails, contacts, calendars etc.

Ive never had problems with 8707 handsets, so my question is does anyone know the answer? does the server need updated? and if so is it a big/risky job.

Any advice would be appreciated.

So you got 1 BB to completely activate 100%. But not the rest will get past the inital stages until the Sync portion and it freezzes at 0%? Am I right so far?

If the BB is at 0% then the Calendar should be completed. Check to see if the Calendar is on the BB.

Try stopping and starting the BlackBerry Synchronization Service. Have you tried any wireless activations?

What version of BES are you running?
What version of Exchange/Domino/Groupwise are you running?
Is the BES on the same machine?

If not, what version of MAPI32.dll and CDO.dll are on the BES? (Exchange Only)

Do you see any events in the Windows Event Viewer? Look under the application log.

This is a wireless activation, but ive never had problems activating any other models of BB, just the 8310..

Calendar is not there, the only thing is any new emails that come through..as for the dlls , not a clue..
